Shuttleworth Adventure

An adventures road ….Michael and I are on a new and exciting road after making the decision to sell the company that we made a huge effort to start April 1st 2009. Due to legal fees and other details we have to lay it down. This decision has been hard for both Michael and I, but we know and believe that we are right were God needs us to be! This a humbling season and we trust that we have much more through Jesus to gain than a unsuccessful attempt to start a business! Glory to God that His plans and promises are better than ours!

We will set of for England the first of September and use that time to really press into Jesus and seek what our next step is going to be. We may set off and do missions over seas for a bit, move and start over somewhere total new, or come back to Charleston. We are not sure where we will be, but we are total confident that God knows and that HE is going to show us! Are prayer is to move when God moves and to be seeking and taking His kingdom that is at hand!

We ask you, are friends and family to pray that at Michael and I receive clarity and peace from the Lord as we embark on this new season! We will blog during our time in England and where else the Lord takes us! We are hopeful and abandoned to His love for us!

Gods Favor

God is so good!!!We made it though the court case with the new business and Michael is now successfully pressing on without any type of legal action holding him back! I am so proud of him and I know that Gods favor is going to continue to pour down over the business and over our marriage! He needs about 70% more owners to sign up with him over the next 6 months. Please continue to pray! Our hearts are so thankful and we worship God in spirit and in truth, for His love and provision is so GREAT! We have been molded and shaped in so many ways by the Lord through this new season of our lives..it hasn't been easy, but we know it is refining us!

On another note, summer has been so nice and the weather has not been too hot..yet ;) We have enjoyed having old and new friends at the house, grilling out and kicking back on the back deck listening to the summer time sounds!

We pray that God blesses you in whatever season you are in and that His love is shaping you and molding you into more of the likeness of Jesus! His love for us is relentless and always seeking your hearts! We pray that His presence fills you more and more! Rest in His arms and allow Him to take any heaviness that is on you and replace it with His total peace! Much love and blessings!

The adventure!

The past 40 days have been a adventure for Michael and I here in Charleston! Michael has branched off starting his own company called Portcullis Property management.This has been exciting for us and also a time to growth and God really stretching us! The trials that are facing Michael daily were expected, but the strength needed for them is great... he must put on the armor of the Lord daily! God is teaching us to be mighty warriors right now and to take each day as training ground. The way that God has moved in all this has been amazing and Michael and I have learned so much about each other and the importance of standing strong together as one! There has been a tremendous amount of trust, love and unity that has been strengthened between us!

Please keep us in your prayers during this season. Michael has a court date towards the end of the month to fight for the reason for starting his own company. His previous employer was not thrilled with Michael going off and beginning his own company...to say the least. Pray that the judge will have favor and grace with Michael's case.

We have also had come great times over the past few months. Easter, my birthday and getting to enjoy the start of summer with friends! God is so good to us and His love is what holds us everyday!

It's Friday!!

Yeah for Friday! Michael and I are looking forward to having our close friends Jason and Jessamie stay with us this weekend! It is a real treat to get to spend time with them:) Michael always has to do something real manly with Jason when they visit..we shall see what he can do on those crutches. Jess and I usually pop in and out of shops and enjoy catching up! We always come away with great stories after every visit....maybe they will even be blog worthy!

The picture above is when Michael and I introduced Jason and Jessamie for the first time in the summer of 2006..what a trip that was. The picture says it all. HAHA

THE FRANKENSTEIN TOE!

Ok, so this whole blog thing is new to me so here i go....

Michael has been recovering this week from his Frankenstein foot surgery..it has been interesting to watch God teach us even more about each other through this..not always a fun processes at times :) He is on his way to recovery praise be to GOD!I am so proud of him getting this done and thankful that God blessed it going smooth under the knife!It has really been hard seeing him in pain over the past week, even though he gives it a good try to convince me its not that bad.

Now if he can stay down for a couple more days he will heal quickly! I know it is hard for him to do, but some how the show LOST has gotten him through it all..this show has taken over our living room. Michael has the computer cables all over the place practically making a boobie trap to hook the lap top up to transfer it from online to the TV screen!! He is a funny one. Please pray that God will continue to have HIS healing hands on Michael and that this will proceed to be a smooth recovery!

Hello friends and family! God has brought us on an adventure and is teaching us wonderful new things already in 2009! We are continually blessed with Gods provision and protection over us. We are so hungry for more of His ways and more of His presence in our lives! If you could pray for that for us it would really be a blessing!

So far this year, We have gotten to watch our dearest friends bring a baby into the world, discovering our drems and seeking out how to pursue them, adventured into SC state parks for the first and last time with brother Brian(all we saw after a 15 mile hike was woods), traveled to see our newly wed friends in Camden, Michael has tackled foot surgery and has been so strong!

We wait in great expectation of the Lord for this year and pray that we are humbled by His love daily and covered with His grace. We are so thankful and over joyed with the friends and family in our life and pray that God keeps bring people on our journey to love on!

Psalm 130 :1-6
